Our Story
The name Retizen comes from “Responsible Citizen,” reflecting our core belief that every individual has the power to create positive change in their community.
Retizen emerged as a youth-led movement with a bold vision: to transform Kenya’s future by promoting civic engagement, social responsibility, and sustainable development.
Founded with a deep commitment to empowering young people and women, particularly in rural areas, we create pathways for individuals to become informed leaders and agents of transformative change.
Our 2024–2028 vision focuses on expanding our impact, fostering a generation of socially conscious and economically empowered individuals who will shape Kenya’s tomorrow.
